I’m not very much into flowers but these stopped me in my tracks. Thought they were unique and a closer look and feel did not dissappoint.

Although spotted in New Zealand, these protea flowers are native to South Africa and Australia and, in local tradition, are said to represent change and hope.

And so happy you have joined us for squares. A very warm welcome 😀

PS Just one little thing though, your photos are not appearing on my screen as square. Is it my end or are these not square? They need to be square for me to include them in the next gallery.

The Giant or King Protea is our national flower in South Africa. It is indigenous to parts of the southern and south western areas of the country 🙂

I thought it was uniquely beautiful and worthy to be a national flower, not to mention what it represents. Thanks for sharing😊
